Green Elopement

An elopement is an intimate wedding requiring fewer resources. Here is a list of advice to help you in the organisation of your eco-friendly elopement to respect the planet in line with your values.

1. The place

If you elope with Wild Romance, you will get married in a wild destination ! We therefore select unique places not far from where you live to avoid many kilometers and favor carpooling.

2. Wedding suppliers

Try to select local and commited providers. For example, you can get invitations with recyclable paper or a wedding dress created with organic paper. The important thing is that they can respect your engagement.

3. Caterer's commitment

It's better to find a caterer who works with seasonal, organic, vegan products and who also care about food waste. Think for example of the doggy bag for your guests who will leave from your wedding happier !

4. Decoration

Favor a decoration made with recovery, DIY or rental items. We can do the same for the wedding dress and flowers can be replanted or distributed to hospitals.

5. Your make-up and hair

Some make-up artists use some products not tested on animals, organic or vegan. It's better for you, but also for the environment, a winning duo !

6. Respect for nature

Wild Romance encourages the respect for nature and the concept of "leave no trace" that is enjoying nature without leaving any waste on the celebration place.

Elopement in the heart of our mountains in the Alps

October 2020

It was a great adventure this Elopement day in the Alps mountains where we created this hiking wedding in the Vanoise massif.

We indeed hiked for a few hours to reach a unique place surrounded by our highest French peaks. It took more than two hours to walk on a small path, cross small streams due to the melting snow, and a little uphill of course !

A make-up done at an altitude of 2500m, a simple decor of light fresh flowers blending with the landscape, a soft natural light at the end of the afternoon and everything was there to capture precious intimate moments of this couple.

They really could feel they were like alone in the world to celebrate their union, and to end their wedding day with thousand memories forever.

Fall wedding proposal surrounded by a mountain lake

October 2019

We have imagined a little surprise for these lovebirds: their wedding proposal. We met at the edge of this deep green lake, in Haute-Savoie near the Swiss border with Geneva, on an autumn’s morning.

While the future bride was having her face made up by our makeup artist came especially for the occasion, we set up a small picnic with a pretty little vintage suitcase that contained the famous ring to say yes, but also something to celebrate this new commitment ! It was a real pleasure for us to see the tender gaze of the fiancé and for us to participate in this happy event.

Wedding on the shore of a green mountain lake

September 2020

A Saturday in October, we created this wedding shooting on the shore of this green lake in altitude in the heart of the French Alps. Haute-Savoie is truly a magical region for wild mountain scenery, here very close to Morzine between Chamonix and Geneva.

You will notice the choice to highlight hiking boots. Because yes who said you absolutely have to wear high heels under your bridal dress ? More comfortable and easier to hike wherever you want to fully enjoy timeless moment.

Exchange of wishes under a waterfall

September 2020

The Alps are beautiful, immense, and offer varied landscapes such as ridges, waterfalls, forests, lakes, a vast playground for our European mountains chain. Here in France, between Annecy and Chamonix, we discovered this majestic circus in the nature reserve of Haute-Savoie.

Here we organized a simple exchange of vows just below the largest waterfall in this circus, to remind us the power of nature. A few minutes of walking with our backpacks, it was a real little adventure to share sweet words in the ear of your lover.

Wild ceremony in nature

October 2020

It was the beginning of autumn and we were surprised by cold temperatures, but this couple was so full of tenderness and affection that they almost forget about the weather conditions.

We could notice a lot of complicity in their intense and magnetic look between each other. It was the end of afternoon and we had a soft natural light that was just perfect to capture this unique moment.

The Vercors massif offers large majestic spaces where love can be celebrated in an authentic and intimate way for a secular ceremony in wilderness.

Elopement in the heart of Vercors' cliffs

October 2020

Say yes to each other at the top of the cliffs of the Vercors, a moment of high aerobatics that litterally multiplies all emotions felt on this special day. These mythical cliffs are the ideal place for an intimate elopement far out of sight.

The day had started in the clouds, with a visibility of maximum 10m, we were very cold and it was impossible to stay here. In a few minutes we had to bounce back very quickly to find another place in this mountain chain, still on ridges, but which offered us much better weather conditions. All the same time we had to climb few meters to reach this spectacular place on top of this massif, and here they are in their bubble, a lovely couple ready to commit for life.
